Downing Road has refused to substantiate whether or not Rishi Sunak has personal medical health insurance, after two Labor MPs criticised his private wealth.
Mr Sunak was requested throughout Prime Minister’s Questions if he would use a GP or accident and emergency service if he or a member of the family turned unwell – or “pay privately” to see somebody extra shortly.
He responded by praising the crew on the NHS Friarage Hospital, which he mentioned had offered “wonderful care” to his household – however didn’t give a direct reply to the query.
Requested by journalists whether or not Mr Sunak had personal medical health insurance, the Prime Minister’s press secretary mentioned: “I do not assume you’d anticipate me to touch upon medical issues regarding the Prime Minister.”

In a separate query, Liam Byrne, the MP for Hodge Hill, claimed the Prime Minister was “one of many richest males in Britain” – criticizing him for not altering legal guidelines round non-domicile standing.
